How to enrol

Login to Citibank Online. Select 'Services - My Profile' from top menu and click on 'Enrol e-Statement'.

Select the following to enrol:
  • Banking Statements or Cards/Ready Credit Statements or both.
  • Select option for e-Statement via email and Citibank Online.
  • Enter email address and determine your e-Statement password if you have selected to receive e-statements via email.

Accept the Citibank Online Statement User Agreement to proceed. Confirm your details and click 'Enrol Now'.

Who is exempted from the paper statement fee?
*Citigold, Citi Prestige, Citi Business Signature and Citi Travel Account cardmembers (Auto Exemption)

*Exemption is only applicable for Citigold Banking Statements.

Why is there a monthly charge on Paper Statements?

Citibank is committed to reducing the carbon footprint and have recommended customers to opt for electronic statements over the years. By implementing the Paper Statement Fee, we aim to encourage customers to switch to electronic statements which are provided at NO COST.

Are there any exemptions?

Yes. The following customers are exempted:

  • Customers aged 65 and above (auto exemptions based on the year born)
  • Customers with disabilities (exemption subject to customer's declaration by writing to us with supporting document and relevant information)
  • Customers facing difficulties accessing electronic statements (exemption subject to customer's declaration by writing to us with relevant information)
  • Citigold Banking Accounts (auto exemptions)
  • Citi Prestige Card (auto exemptions)
  • Credit and charge cards issued to companies i.e. Citi Travel Account and Citi Business Signature Card (auto exemptions)
  • Basic Checking Account and Basic Savings Account (auto exemptions)
  • Mortgage Term Loan (auto exemptions)
  • Share margin Financing and Commercial Real Estate Loans (i.e.Business Power) (auto exemptions)
  • Personal Loan (auto exemptions)
I'm turning 65 this year. Is the exemption based on the year I was born or birth date?

It's based on the year you were born. If your birthday falls in the month of November, you will be exempted from the fee from January of the year you are turning 65.

I would like to request for waiver of fee due to disabilities. How do I declare?

Please write to us with the following information and attach a copy of your OKU card:

No. Exemptions are subject to Citibank's discretion. If your request is not successful, we will inform you by mail / SMS or any other method deemed suitable.

You can switch to e-Statements which are available at no cost. You will be able to view your e-Statements for up to 7 years via Citibank Online / Citi Mobile.

How do I sign up for e-Statements?

You can sign up for e-Statements via your Citibank Online with these steps:

  1. Select 'Services – My Profile' from top menu and click on 'Enrol e-Statement'.
  2. Select the following to enrol:
    • Banking Statements or Cards/Ready Credit Statements or both.
    • Select option for e-Statement via email and Citibank Online.
    • Enter email address and determine your e-Statement password if you selected to receive via email.

Yes. You may receive your e-Statements via email.

When will I start receiving my e-Statements if I enrol for e-Statements now?

You will receive your first e-Statement on your next statement date. You will be able to view your past e-Statements for up to 7 years.

When will the fee be charged if I continue with Paper Statements?

The fee will be charged the day after the Paper Statement is generated.

I have a Banking Statement and Credit Card statement. Will I be charged for both if I'm on Paper Statements?

Yes. RM1.00 will be charged monthly to your Banking Statement and Credit Card Statement respectively.

I have 2 credit cards with 2 different statement dates. Will I be charged for both?

Yes. RM1.00 will be charged monthly to both of your Credit Card Statements.

I have a joint account with my spouse who is exempted from the fee. Will there be a fee for this account if we continue to receive paper statement?

That account will be exempted from the fee if the primary accountholder meets the exemption criteria. However, if the non-exempted customer has a sole account and is still on paper statement, then the fee will be charged for this sole account.

I am a Citigold customer with Prestige and PremierMiles credit cards, do I get exemption for all my statements?

No, you will only be exempted for your Citigold banking statement and Prestige credit card statement. RM1.00 will be charged to your PremierMiles credit card statement.
