Financial Management and Resilience Programme (URUS)

    URUS is formulated by the banking industry together with the Counselling and Credit Management Agency (AKPK) and is targeted towards providing further support to B50 borrowers.


    Eligibility

    Impacted B50 customers who meet All the criteria below would be eligible to Apply for URUS via Citibank :
    - Have a household income of up to RM5,880; and
    - Already with an existing repayment assistance programme with Citibank (e.g Targeted Repayment Assistance, PEMERKASA Plus, PEMULIH, bank’s own rescheduling and restructuring, etc) as of 30 September 2021; and
    - Experiencing a loss of employment or at least a 50% reduction in income.
    - Loan/financing is still performing (not in arrears for more than 90 days) as at the date of application


    Eligible B50 customers will be able to opt-in for the following:
    - 3-month interest/profit waiver only
    OR
    - 3-month interest/profit waiver together with reduced monthly instalments of up to 24 months (inclusive of the 3-month interest/profit waiver period)

    How to apply

    To opt-in to the URUS programme, please prepare the necessary documentations, fill up the below Common Form and attach those documentations as part of the submission.

    Documentations required (any one (1) of the following supporting documents)

    Salaried: (Loss of employment / Ceased of business operations/ Loss of income of minimum 50%)

    • EPF statement (from January 2020 to current); OR
    • Bank statement (from January 2020 to current); OR
    • Income tax form for YA2019 and YA 2020 (to demonstrate no income in YA2020); OR
    • Any other documents deemed relevant by the bank.

    Sole Proprietor/Self employed: (Loss of employment / Ceased of business operations)

    • Bank statement (from December 2019 to current)
    • Income tax form for YA2019 and YA 2020 (to demonstrate no income in YA2020); OR
    • Any other documents deemed relevant by the bank.

    Sole Proprietor/Self employed: (Loss of income of a minimum 50%)

    • Bank statement:
      • 3 months’ statement from Dec 2020 to Feb 2021; and
      • Latest 3 months’ statement in 2021; OR
    • Income tax form for YA2019 and YA 2020 (to demonstrate reduction in income in YA2020) OR
    • Any other documents deemed relevant by the bank.

  • Following the recent announcement, this programme (URUS) is formulated by the banking industry together with Credit Counselling and Debt Management Agency / Agensi Kaunseling dan Pengurusan Kredit (AKPK) that offers holistic financial management solutions, covering debt management, financial management education and financial advisory for meaningful and comprehensive support to customers to promote long-term financial resilience. Assistance is made via opt-in application by eligible customers solely for the purposes of this programme (URUS).

  • The purpose of the submitted information is for the processing of the URUS program and personal details provided in the form would not override your existing details with the bank. You may update your personal details via Citi Mobile® App or contact our Citibank Contact Centre at 03-2383 0000 from 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.

  • AKPK/Bank will notify you on the status of your application within 10 working days.

Disclaimer & Consent

  • I hereby certify that all information provided is true and correct i.e. completely disclosed, to the best of my knowledge, all the relevant information required (including all my credit facilities and debt obligations) with the Bank and the Bank shall verify the same from any source, as may in your sole discretion deemed appropriate.
  • If it is discovered by you at any time, during my application process, that I have failed to disclose part or all the relevant information and/or falsely declared any information, the Bank reserves the right to decline/reject my application.

  • I understand that repayment restructuring shall apply for Islamic facilities based on Shariah concept (including a requirement to pronounce the new Akad, upon successfully enrolled into this scheme).
  • Where required, I will be notified by the Bank via email or call to sign relevant documents/ accept my repayment assistance plan to complete the legal documentation, including those related to guarantors or joint accounts and/or variation agreements.
  • If my application is successful, I understand that I have the option to engage the Bank to revise the monthly instalment amount if my financials improve to reduce overall financing/borrowing costs;
  • I understand that by providing accurate information on all my loan/financing facilities will allow the banks / AKPK to provide me with a suitable repayment assistance plan.
