Loans & Financing for Residential & Commercial Properties

Types of Charges Amount / Rate Remarks
1) Late Payment Fees#
Mortgage Loans (for Residential & Commercial Properties) 1% p.a. on amount past due x (number of days past due/365 days) for term loans/financing on monthly basis. Applicable to all Mortgage products
Corporate Loans 1% Penalty interest
2) Default interest rate#
Housing Loan / FlexiHome Loan / Shophouse Loan One per cent (1%) per annum above the prevailing interest rate shall be chargeable on the outstanding amount upon 3 months loan instalment past due This default interest shall be payable on demand
Homecredit / Mortgage Power / Business Power Six point six five percent (6.65%) per annum above the base rate OR three point five percent (3.50%) per annum above the base lending rate (whichever applicable) shall be chargeable on the outstanding amount if your account is 3 months past due This default interest shall be payable on demand
3) Processing Fees
i) RM 25,000 (Low Cost) and below Waived
ii) Above RM 25,000 to RM30,000 RM53.00 currently waived
iii) Above RM 30,000 to RM100,000 RM106.00 currently waived
iv) Above RM100,000 RM212.00 currently waived
4) Maintenance Fee
FlexiHome Loan RM10.60 Debited to the loan outstanding balance on a monthly basis

Note:

Your monthly instalment will not be recalculated with the charge of the Maintenance Fee to your loan outstanding balance. Whilst for any other charges / fee debiting (other than RM10.60 Monthly Maintenance Fee) to your loan outstanding balance, monthly instalment will automatically be calculated and you will be notified accordingly.

Should there be any outstanding Maintenance Fee at the loan maturity or upon loan redemption, you are required to settle the due amount.
5) Early Termination Fee# Fee: Up to 3% of total original loan/financing amount.
The holding period is up to 3 years from date of full drawdown.
6) Excess Amount Rate# Six point six five per cent (6.65%) per annum above the base rate OR three point five percent (3.50%) per annum above the base lending rate (whichever applicable) on the Excess Amount. Excess Amount refers to amount debited /outstanding in the customer's account which exceeds the limit available for utilization.
7) Other Charges (Ad-hoc Basis)
(i) Security documents retrieval RM10.60 for each document Photocopy of security documents
(ii) Courier Charges (for local courier charges only) RM10.60 per request Documents couriered to customers.
(iii) Letter of confirmation for EPF withdrawal RM10.60 per statement with maximum charges of RM21.20 per request.
(iv) Redemption statement RM53.00 per request Only applicable to home loan / financing (for individuals)
(v) Additional loan/ financing statement RM5.30 per statement
(vi) Statement on yearly interest for overdraft account. RM5.30 per statement Statement to confirm yearly interest charged on OD a/cs for tax purposes.
8) Account Set-up Fee RM212.00 per account (one time fee)
9) Commitment Fees on Unutilised Funds# Up to 1.00% p.a. of the unutilised overdraft line, debited into account monthly, for overdraft line above RM250,000. No commitment fee for overdraft line RM250,000 and below. Exception for:
1) Term Loan or Personal OD up to RM 250,000

2) OD with rates prescribed by BNM and loans under CGC or Bumi Community for business purposes

3) Refer below for Homecredit Commitment Fee
Homecredit Commitment Fee Fee: 1% p.a. on unutilised amounts. Citibank Homecredit loan approved prior to 1 January 2016

Effective 1 January 2017, a 1% p.a. commitment fee will be charged on the unutilised amount of your Citibank Homecredit account if the utilisation rate is below 50% of your total Homecredit credit line. The fee will be calculated daily based on the unutilised amount and is debited from your Citibank Homecredit account balance at month end.


Note: For Citibank Homecredit loans approved on or after 1 January 2016, the 1% p.a. commitment fee was effective since 1 August 2016.

10) Transaction Fees RM2.12 per cheque After a maximum of 10 cheque transactions per month for Citibank Homecredit and 30 cheque transactions for Citibank Business Power per month.

Portfolio Finance (Share Financing, Portfolio Power, Overdraft against Time Deposit)

1) Default interest rate#
Share Financing/ Portfolio Power (Overdraft)/ Overdraft against Time Deposit Six point six five percent (6.65%) per annum above the base rate OR three point five percent (3.50%) per annum above the base lending rate (whichever applicable) shall be chargeable on the outstanding amount if your account is 3 months past due This default interest shall be payable on demand
2) Excess Amount Rate# Six point six five per cent (6.65%) per annum above the base rate OR three point five percent (3.50%) per annum above the base lending rate (whichever applicable) on the Excess Amount Excess Amount refers to the amount debited /outstanding in the customer's account which exceeds the limit available for utilization.
3) Commitment Fees on Unutilized Funds#
Portfolio Power (Overdraft) 1.00% p.a. of the unutilised overdraft line, debited into account monthly, for overdraft line above RM500,000. No commitment fee for overdraft line RM500,000 and below.
Overdraft against Time Deposit 1.00% p.a. of the unutilised overdraft line, debited into account monthly, for overdraft line above RM250,000. No commitment fee for overdraft line RM250,000 and below.

Handling of Dividend 0.53% of net dividend received (Minimum flat fee of RM2.65 and maximum of RM53.00).

Personal Loans

Types of Charges Amount / Rate Remarks
1) 1-time Stamp Duty (Ad Valorem)# 0.5% of approved loan amount
2) Early Settlement Fee# RM200 or 3% of outstanding balance, whichever higher, if loan is settled within first 2 years or before reaching half the tenure, whichever earlier
