While processing your purchase, the merchant may verify your card with us. Sometimes this is shown in your Citi card account information as a verification transaction, which is a pending transaction that is usually removed within 24 to 48 hours.
If you have confirmed that the charge on your account was not charged by the merchant and is a verified transaction, please contact us by calling the customer service number on the back of your card.
The ‘Remember me’ feature in the new Click to Pay experience allows you to skip the one-time code when you’re checking out with your Citi cards on the same browser and device. Turning on this setting for your Citi cards will allow you to skip verification on subsequent checkouts for 6 months.
We are responding to your inquiry regarding the one-time code you received while trying to click to pay with a Citi card. Visa takes the security of your information very seriously. To make sure it is really you signing in, Visa has sent a one-time code to the email address you signed up with to help keep your information safe.
Visa takes the security of your information very seriously. As such, any attempt to change your information related to your Citi card associated with the Click to Pay experience may prompt a one-time code being sent to your email. If you did not change your information related to your Citi card in Click to Pay , please contact us at checkoutwithvisa_MY@visa.com or call customer support at https://secure.checkout.visa.com/pages/callUs.
The ‘Remember me’ setting works with your browser’s cookies. When you turn on the ‘Remember me’ setting, Visa will drop non-essential cookies on your device’s browser so you can be recognized on that browser and device – allowing you to make subsequent purchases without having to enter a one-time code.
The ‘Remember me’ setting will expire after 6 months. If you delete the cookies from your browser, or if your browser settings are set to delete cookies every time you exit your browser, the next time you use your browser to use or access your Citi card in the Click to Pay experience, you’ll be required to enter a one-time code to re-enable the ‘Remember me’ setting. You can manage how your browser handles cookies in your internet browser settings.
In addition, you will still be required to enter a one-time code if you want to make changes to your card or address information or if any potential suspicious activities are detected. You can change your settings anytime by signing in at Visa’s website https://secure.checkout.visa.com

Creating an account
When you're selecting a password for your Click to Pay account, keep these password requirements in mind:
- At least 6 characters and maximum 32 characters.
- Can include lower case and capital letters.
- Allowed special characters: ! @ # $ % & * ?
- Cannot contain a portion of your email address.
- Cannot contain spaces or three or more consecutive repeating characters.
Accessing your account
If you forget your password, follow these steps:
- Visit https://secure.checkout.visa.com.
- Click the "Forgot?" link on the sign in page.
- We'll send password reset instructions to the email address associated with your account. Follow those instructions to create a new password.
If you don't receive the password reset email, we suggest checking your spam folder. If the email isn't there, you can request a new one, or contact us at checkoutwithvisa_MY@visa.com.
To prevent unauthorized access to your account, we lock your account temporarily if you enter an incorrect username or password too many times. You can unlock your account by using the Forgot Password link, or you can contact us for assistance. You are not able to use your Click to Pay account for purchases during the time the account is locked.
To protect access to your account, we may ask you to answer a security question that other people would have trouble answering. If you have trouble accessing your account at any point, these questions help us confirm your identity. We might ask you to answer these questions when you log in from a new device, when you have forgotten your password, or when you contact customer support via phone.
When you create a Click to Pay with Visa account, security questions are generated automatically based on information stored in your account. You may optionally set up additional security questions by signing in to your account and clicking the Account Settings link.
The answers to your Click to Pay with Visa security questions must meet the following requirements:
- Answers must be between 3 and 24 characters in length.
- The characters you use can be numbers, letters, special characters, and/or spaces.
- You can't use the same answer for another Click to Pay security question.
- Your answers are not case-sensitive, so "Dog" and "dOg" are treated the same way.
After a short period of inactivity or if you close your browser window you will be automatically logged out of your Click to Pay session and you will be required to log back in afterwards.
Click Log Out which appears in the top right hand corner of the screen to close Click to Pay.
Making changes to your account
- Visit https://secure.checkout.visa.com
- Go to "My Account Information" section
- Click "Edit" under "Sign In Information"
- Click "Update" to save your new password
We'll send a confirmation email to your email address to notify you of the change.
If you receive an error message when you try to add a payment card, it is likely that the billing information you entered doesn't match the billing information associated with that card. Please verify that you have correctly entered your card information, and that the billing address matches the card information on file with your card issuer.
To help prevent unauthorized access to card information, we won't let you add a card if you've tried to add it multiple times with incorrect information. If you receive an error message saying that you have exceeded the maximum number of attempts to add or edit a card, you won't be allowed to add that payment method to your account for another 24 hours.
