  • What are the benefits of Citi Mobile® Token?

    The benefits of Citi Mobile® Token include:


    1) Security - Online transactions are protected by a 6-digit Unlock Code chosen by you, and paired only to one mobile device of your choice.
    2) Instant - Enter your 6-digit Unlock Code to instantly authenticate all your online transactions. You no longer need to wait for your One-Time PIN (OTP) via SMS.
    3) Convenient - Authenticates all online transactions including payments and transfers, adding a new payee and updating contact details.

  • I lost my mobile device. How can I disable my Citi Mobile® Token?

    You may disable your Citi Mobile® Token through the following method:
    1) Login to Citibank Online and follow this path: Services > My Profile > Citi Mobile® Token Deactivation.
    2) Enable Citi Mobile® Token on another mobile device. This will automatically disable the Citi Mobile® Token tied to your lost mobile device.

  • I have a new mobile device. How can I enable Citi Mobile® Token?

    Enable Citi Mobile® Token on your new mobile device. This will automatically disable the Citi Mobile® Token tied to your previous mobile device.

  • I have entered my 6-digit Unlock Code incorrectly three times (or more), and I am unable to proceed now. What do I do?

    Please call CitiPhone at +603 2383 0000 for assistance.

  • Can I use Citi Mobile® Token on my old mobile device after enabling it on my new device?

    For security reasons, Citi Mobile® Token will be paired to one device only. If you have enabled Citi Mobile® Token on a new device, it will automatically be disabled on the previous device. Therefore, you will not be able to generate One-Time PIN (OTP) on the previous device.

  • How can I use Citi Mobile® Token?

    Citi Mobile® Token can be used to authenticate all transactions on Citi Mobile® instantly by entering your Unlock Code. You can also generate a One-Time PIN (OTP) with your Unlock Code to authenticate all transactions on Citibank Online.

  • How can I enable Citi Mobile® Token?

    You can enable Citi Mobile® Token by following the steps below.
    1) Login to Citi Mobile®.
    2) Tap on the "Profile" button located on the top left corner. Next, click on "Manage Citi Mobile® Token".
    3) Select "Unlock Code" and key in the One-Time PIN (OTP) sent to you via SMS.
    4) Create your 6-digit Unlock Code.

  • Why do I need to create a 6-digit Unlock Code in order to use Citi Mobile® Token?

    As the Unlock Code is created by you and known only to you, it will as such only allow you access to the Citi Mobile® Token on your mobile device. For security reasons, please remember your Unlock Code and do not share it with anyone else.

  • Can I still use One-Time PIN (OTP) via SMS after enabling Citi Mobile® Token?

    Yes, you may still use OTP via SMS as an alternative to Citi Mobile® Token. However, a Citi Mobile® Token via your unique Unlock Code will authenticate your transactions on Citi Mobile® instantly without the need to wait for an OTP via SMS.

  • I have enabled the Citi Mobile® Token on my mobile device. Am I able to use my Citi Mobile® Token to perform a transaction on another mobile device?

    Yes, you would be able to do so with the steps below.

    1) Launch the Citi Mobile® App on your other mobile device. A screen prompting you to enter your One-Time PIN (OTP) will be displayed when you are performing a transaction / activity that requires an OTP.
    2) On your Citi Mobile® Token enabled device, select "Citi Mobile ® Token" on the login screen.
    3) Enter your 6-digit Unlock Code.
    4) An OTP will be generated by your Citi Mobile® Token. Enter this OTP on the screen of your other mobile device where your transaction / activity is being performed.

    Your transaction / activity will be completed upon the successful authentication of the OTP.

  • How do I use the Citi Mobile® Token when performing transactions on my Citi Mobile® App?

    Simply enter your 6-digit Unlock Code when prompted. Once the authentication is successful, your transaction / activity will automatically be completed.

  • Can I use the Citi Mobile® Token without installing the Citi Mobile® App?

    No, you will not be able to use the Citi Mobile® Token without installing the Citi Mobile® App. Click here to download the Citi Mobile® App.

  • I forgot my 6-digit Unlock Code. What should I do?

    You can reset your Unlock Code by logging in to Citi Mobile® App and following the steps below.

    1) Tap on the "Profile" button located on the top left corner.
    2) Click on "Manage Citi Mobile® Token".
    3) Select "Reset Unlock Code".

  • What is Face ID®, Touch ID® and Android Fingerprint?

    Face ID® is a feature that authenticates login based on facial maps stored on your Apple device. Touch ID® and Android Fingerprint on the other hand are features that authenticate login based on fingerprints stored on your Apple or Android devices. These are alternative login methods that provide enhanced security and convenience in comparison to the Username and Password method.

  • Are Face ID®, Touch ID® and Android Fingerprint available on all devices?

    Face ID® is available on iPhone X and newer models while Touch ID® is available on iPhone 5S and newer models. Android Fingerprint meanwhile is available on Android devices with version 6.0 and above.

  • How secure is Face ID®, Touch ID® and Android Fingerprint? Are these information stored on Citi Mobile®?

    These are secure methods of logging in. Information on your facial maps and fingerprints are stored on your device and not on Citi Mobile®. Once you enable Face ID®, Touch ID® or Android Fingerprint as a login method to Citi Mobile®, only an encrypted token is created and stored in Citi Mobile®.

  • How do I enable Face ID®, Touch ID® or Android Fingerprint?

    You can enable Face ID®, Touch ID® or Android Fingerprint by following the steps below.
    1) Sign on to Citi Mobile®.
    2) Tap on the "Profile" button located on the top left corner. Next, click on "Touch ID® / Face ID".
    3) Enable Touch ID® / Face ID.
    4) Key in your 6-digit Unlock Code.

  • How do I disable Face ID®, Touch ID® or Android Fingerprint?

    You can disable Face ID®, Touch ID® or Android Fingerprint by following the steps below.
    1) Sign on to Citi Mobile®.
    2) Tap on the "Profile" button located on the top left corner. Next, click on "Touch ID® / Face ID".
    3) Disable Touch ID® / Face ID.

  • How long is my Face ID®, Touch ID® or Android Fingerprint enrollment on Citi Mobile® valid for?

    Enrollment of Face ID®, Touch ID® and Android Fingerprint on Citi Mobile® is valid for 45 days if you did not logged into Citi Mobile® via Username and Password during this period.

  • My device stores facial and fingerprint information of my friends. Do they have access to my Citibank account?

    Face ID®, Touch ID® and Android Fingerprint recognises all facial and fingerprint information stored in your device. For security reasons, we recommend that you do not store face profiles or fingerprints of anyone else.

  • Does Face ID®, Touch ID® and Android Fingerprint work when I am overseas?

    Face ID®, Touch ID® and Android Fingerprint will not work when you change service provider while overseas.

  • My Face ID®, Touch ID® or Android Fingerprint was turned off. Why is this so?

    This could be due to a few reasons:
    1) You have recently changed your service provider.
    2) You have recently changed your Username or Password.
    3) You have not logged into Citi Mobile® via Username and Password in the last 45 days.
    4) You have recently changed your SIM card.
    5) Your account is locked.
    6) You entered the wrong One-Time PIN (OTP) for 3 times while logged on.
    7) You enabled Face ID®, Touch ID® or Android Fingerprint on another device.

  • What is Push Notification?

    Push Notification is a new method of delivering alerts, replacing SMS alerts, to keep you updated on your account activities. All notifications will be paired to only one mobile device of your choice.

  • If I enroll for Push Notification, will I still be receiving SMS alerts?

    Upon enrollment, some alerts you currently receive via SMS will be replaced. These include Account Balance Alert, Account Credit Alert, Time Deposit Maturity Alert and Credit Card Payment Posted Alert. Login to Citibank Online to view or manage all your Citi Alerts.

  • If I would like to receive my alerts via both SMS and Push Notification, what should I do? Can I also choose to receive alerts via email?

    Just login to Citibank Online and follow this path: Services > My Profile > Citi Alerts > Manage Alerts > Edit Alerts. Then, tick the mode of alert delivery you prefer.

  • I can't seem to enable Push Notification on my secondhand mobile device. Why is this so?

    This could perhaps be due to the previous owner being a Citibank customer who has not disabled his/her Push Notification on this mobile device. Push Notification can only be paired to one device at a time. To enable Push Notification for yourself, proceed to delete and reinstall the Citi Mobile® App.

  • I've just lost my mobile device. How can I disable Push Notification on Citibank Online?

    Push Notification will be disabled on your old mobile device when you enable it on your new mobile device. Alternatively, you can modify / disable the notifications by following this path: Services > My Profile > Citi Alerts > Manage Alerts > Edit Alerts. Next, untick the alerts you would like to disable and click "Confirm".

  • How can I disable Push Notification on Citi Mobile® before I sell my mobile device?

    Simply login to Citi Mobile® and follow this path: Profile & Settings > App Settings > Alerts & Notifications.

  • Are there any locations where I will not be able to receive Push Notifications?

    You will not be able to receive notifications in China if you are on an Android device. Users of an iOS device will still be able to receive notification.

  • Why did I suddenly stop receiving notifications?

    This could be due to a few reasons:

    1) Your mobile device is not connected to any WiFi or mobile data networks.
    2) Your Citi Mobile® App is deleted.
    3) Your Citi Mobile ® App is not upgraded to the latest version.
    4) Notifications on your mobile device is disabled.
    5) You have downloaded Citi Mobile ® App on another mobile device and enabled Push Notification on that device.

     

  • How can I enable Push Notification?

    You can enable Push Notification by following the steps below.

    1) Login to Citi Mobile®.
    2) Tap on the "Profile" button located on the top left corner. Next, click on "Alerts & Notifications".
    3) Select "Enable".
    4) Select notifications you would like to be notified on and click "Save".

     

  • I have enrolled for Push Notification but I'm still receiving alerts via SMS. Why is this so?

    It takes one working day for Push Notification enrollment to come into effect.

  • When I disable Push Notification, will alerts be sent via SMS automatically?

    No, you will need to enable SMS alerts manually.

  • What is Citi QR Login?

    Citi QR Login is our latest login innovation, providing you with increased security to log in to Citibank Online. All you need to do, is scan the QR code generated on Citibank Online using your Citi Mobile® App. Subsequently, login via Face ID®, Touch ID, Android Fingerprint or Password on your Citi Mobile® App.

  • Do I need to enroll for Citi QR Login?

    No enrollment is required. The QR code is automatically generated on your desktop when you are logging in to Citibank Online. The Citi QR Login scan function is also automatically enabled on your Citi Mobile® App, allowing you to scan the code conveniently.

  • Is the Citi QR Login available on all types of mobile devices?

    Citi QR Login scan function is available on all iPhone from iOS 9 onwards along with all Android devices from Android 6 onwards..

  • My mobile device does not support Citi Mobile App/ incompatible to iOS 9/ incompatible to Android 6, what should I do?

    You are encouraged to download Citi Mobile® App on a compatible device to access your banking account securely.

  • How do I login to Citibank Online using Citi QR Login?

    You may follow the steps below if you have downloaded the Citi Mobile® App. Otherwise, search ‘Citibank MY’ from the App Store or Google Play and download the app accordingly.

    a. Launch your Citi Mobile® App and tap on the Citi QR Login icon (on the bottom right portion of the app).
    b. Scan the QR code generated on the left panel of Citibank Online sign-on page using your Citi Mobile® App.
    c. Authenticate your Citibank Online login via Face ID®/ Touch ID /Android Fingerprint or enter Password on your Citi Mobile® App.

    Once the validation is successful, you will be presented with a ‘Login Successful’ message on Citibank Online. For first time QR Login user, the App will prompt for Username and Password authentication. Subsequently, you may use biometric as authentication.

  • What are the benefits of using Citi QR Login?

    Citi QR Login comes with higher security which requires authentication from your own device that is paired with your unique biometric identification. With additional layers of security, Citi QR Login provides an enhanced login security as compared to log in through the conventional Username and Password option.

  • How secure is Citi QR Login?

    Citi QR Login enhanced security is developed through multiple levels of authentication.
    Some of the security features that have been incorporated includes:
    • QR Login is only enabled on a single trusted device registered through Citi Mobile® App.
    • A unique QR Code is refreshed on Citibank Online screen each time you login. This means that there will be no instance where the QR code is reused as each generated code is different for each user.
    • Biometric authentication on Citi Mobile® App helps to safeguard your account against unauthorized access.

    However, we strongly recommend you to maintain the confidentially of your banking credentials in order to protect your account.

  • I have 2 mobile devices. Is Citi QR Login available on both devices?

    No. You can only perform Citi QR Login on only one of your device registered with Citi. Safeguarding your banking account is our utmost priority.

  • Can I access Citibank Online without the use of Citi QR Login?

    Yes. Please click on the ‘Click here to sign on with Username and Password’ on Citibank Online to login using your Username and Password. However, we strongly encourage you to use Citi QR Login for enhanced security.
    We are in the midst of switching to Citi QR Login as our primary / default login method. Login in with your username and password will limit access into your banking account.

  • Upon the switched of Citi QR Login as primary login to Citibank Online, I will have limited access to my online banking account. How do I obtain full access to my account?

    If you wish to regain full access to your account, kindly login to Citibank Online via Citi QR Login. Alternatively, you may access your accounts on-the-go through Citi Mobile® App.

  • I have tried scanning the QR code on Citibank Online but I am still unable to login. What should I do?

    Check your phone iOS/ Android version. Citi QR Login scan function is supported on all iPhone from iOS 9 onwards along with all Android devices from Android 6 onwards. It is recommended that you have a compatible device for a secured banking experience.

    As the Citi QR Login refreshes, please ensure that your mobile device is in close proximity in order to scan the QR Code, as the code is only valid for a short period of time and it will be refreshed for security reasons. If you are still unable to login after several attempts, please contact CitiPhone.

  • Can I disable Citi QR Login?

    No. The function cannot be disabled as this is a default feature to login to Citibank Online in a more secured way.

  • There are retail shops that accept payments via QR code. Can I use the Citi QR Login scan function to make payments?

    No. The Citi QR Login scan function is only allows you to login to Citibank Online.

  • If I visit Citibank Online using an iPad or a tablet, can I use Citi Mobile® App to scan the Citi QR code?

    Yes. You may access to Citibank Online via browser and use your mobile device with downloaded Citi Mobile® App to scan the QR code to login to Citibank Online.

  • If my mobile phone is lost/ stolen, will my online banking account be accessed easily by fraudsters?

    No. Additional layers of protection such as your Biometrics (Face ID®/ Touch ID®/Android Fingerprint) or Password authentication is required before successful login to your bank account. These measures are in place to safeguard you against fraudsters.

  • Why would accessing Citibank account using Citi QR Login through Citi Mobile® App is more secured in comparison to Username and Password?

    Accessing your Citibank account via Citi QR Login is more secure as this method eliminates the need to key in Username and Password on browser. This safeguards you against fraud on non-genuine websites. To use Citi QR Login, it requires your trusted device registered with Citi Mobile® App that acts as an additional layer of authentication to access Citibank Online.

  • Which iOS / Android versions are compatible with the Citi Mobile® App?

    Citi Mobile® App is compatible with iOS 9 and above, and Android 4.4 and above.

  • How secure is it to perform transactions on this new interface?

    Your banking security is always our priority. You can be rest assured that all transactions performed on the new interface is as secure as all our other banking platforms. All our platforms are tested rigorously and regularly before and after new version releases.

  • My dashboard looks different. What has changed?

    With our new and improved dashboard design, you can access your account information instantly upon logging in.

  • What has been changed on the main dashboard search function?

    New capabilities introduced include the ability to search transactions using amount, transation type and date (for up to 150 transactions in the last 3 months).

  • Citi Mobile® remembers my Username. Can I delete it?

    Yes, you can do so by deleting and re-installing the app for Apple devices and clearing the cache for Android devices.
