Citibank Platinum 5X Rewards All Year Long – Terms and Conditions
   
1. This Citibank Berhad ("Citibank") Platinum 5X Rewards Points feature ("5X Rewards Points Feature") is valid from 19th April 2012 onwards.
   
Eligibility
2. Subject to Clause 3 below, all core principal Citibank Platinum Visa/MasterCard credit cardmembers who are residents of Malaysia are eligible to enjoy this 5X Rewards Points Feature ("Eligible Cardmembers").
   
3. The following persons are NOT eligible for this 5X Rewards Points Feature:
 
(a) Holder(s) of Citibank Platinum credit card(s) not issued in Malaysia;
(b) Holder(s) of any co-branded Citibank Platinum credit cards;
(c) Holder(s) of Citibank Platinum credit card(s) who is (are) not in good standing, in default of or has cancelled their card granted by Citibank, Citibank deems fit; and
(d) any Citibank customer who has (have) committed or is (are) suspected of committing any fraudulent or wrongful acts and/or transactions in relation to use of his/their Citibank credit card(s) and/or any facilities or services with Citibank and/or its affiliate(s)1.
   
The 5X Rewards Points Feature
4. Eligible Cardmembers who use their Citibank Platinum credit card for retail transactions at the following departmental stores, supermarkets and hypermarkets in Malaysia are entitled to receive 5X Rewards Points in the manner set out in Clause 5 below:

5. Under the 5X Reward Points Feature, Eligible Cardmembers are entitled to receive Rewards Points in the following manner:

a) 5X Rewards Points on total amount spent on retail transactions at selected department stores2, where every RM1.00 of retail transaction posted to the Eligible Cardmember’s credit card account will generate five (5) Rewards Points.
  b) 5X Rewards Points on the total amount spent on retail transactions at selected supermarkets and hypermarkets3, where every RM1.00 of retail transaction posted to Eligible Cardmember’s credit card account will generate five (5) Rewards Points.

Important Note:
(i) However, the 5X Rewards Points Feature for this category of retail transactions is capped at a maximum spend amount of RM3,000 on such retail transactions on each monthly billing cycle.
(ii) Accordingly, for any amount above the maximum of RM3,000 in any particular monthly billing cycle, the usual reward points system will be applicable, that is, every RM1.00 of retail transaction posted to the account will generate one (1) Rewards Points.
 

Citibank is not liable for any delay in actual posting of the transactions and /or Rewards Points earned during the 5X Rewards Points Feature.

   
6. Citibank is not responsible for the quality, merchantability or the fitness for any purpose or any other aspect of the products and/or services provided by third parties.
   
7. The following transactions are not taken into account in the accumulation of additional Rewards Points via this 5X Rewards Points Feature:
  1. transactions made on Citibank EasyPay, Flexi Payment Plan, Autobilling, Cash Advance, Dial For Cash, Balance Transfer and Balance Transfer via Instalment Plan;

  2. refunded, international, disputed, unauthorized or fraudulent retail transactions;

  3. retail transactions at stores not listed in Clause 4 (as amended);

  4. payment of annual card membership fees, interest payments, late payment fees, charges for cash withdrawals; and

  5. any other form of service or miscellaneous fees.

   
8. Subject to the eligibility criteria specified in Clause 2 above, transactions made by a supplementary Citibank Platinum Cardmember will also be entitled to the 5X Rewards Points Feature. However, only the principal Eligible Cardmember will be able to make any redemption.
   
9. Rewards Points must be redeemed and used only by the principal Eligible Cardmembers. Redemption of Rewards Points is subject to Citibank's discretion as it deems fit. Further, Citibank reserve the right to cancel Rewards Points earned on credit card accounts, as it deems fit, including where:
  1. the minimum payment has been due for thirty (30) days or more;

  2. the credit limit has been exceeded;

  3. the account is believed by Citibank to be operated fraudulently or wrongful acts and/or transactions in relation to use of his/their Citibank credit card(s) and/or any facilities or services with Citibank and/or its affiliate(s); or

  4. any account(s) are otherwise closed by Citibank.

   
10. Rewards Points earned are not transferable. Cardmembers are not allowed to sell their Rewards Points to any other person.

If the 5X Rewards Points are awarded to and received by persons who are not Eligible Cardmembers, Citibank has the right to disqualify such persons from enjoying the additional Rewards Points and/or from redeeming or using the additional Rewards Points.

Miscellaneous
11. Citibank is not liable for any default in respect of the 5X Rewards Points Feature due to any act of God, war, riot, strike, lockout, industrial action, epidemic, pandemic, fire, flood, drought, storm, technical or systems failure or any event beyond the reasonable control of Citibank.
   
12. (1) Citibank's decisions on all matters relating to the 5X Rewards Points Feature, including the determination of Eligible Cardmembers is conclusive and binding.

(2) Citibank is entitled as it deems fit, to take into account any card transaction or charges or retail purchase in the calculation of Rewards Points or to otherwise vary the basis of calculation of Rewards Points.

   
13. (1) Citibank has the right to terminate or suspend the 5X Rewards Points Feature by giving prior notice.

(2) Eligible Cardmembers agree that such termination or suspension by Citibank of the 5X Rewards Points Feature does not entitle the Eligible Cardmembers to any claim or compensation against Citibank for any losses or damages incurred by the Eligible Cardmembers as a result of the act of termination or suspension.

   
14. (1) Participation in the 5X Rewards Points Feature is subject to these terms and conditions and the terms and conditions in the Citibank Credit Card Terms and Conditions and the Citibank Rewards Program.

(2) Citibank has the right to modify, vary, or change any of these terms and conditions with prior notice. These Terms and Conditions may be varied or changed by Citibank by way of posting on its www.citibank.com.my website ("Website") or in any other manner deemed suitable by Citibank.

(3) Eligible Cardmembers agree to access the Website regularly to view and understand these Terms and Conditions and to ensure that they are kept up-to-date with any changes to these Terms and Conditions.

(4) The Eligible Cardmembers agree that their participation in the 5X Rewards Points Feature constitutes their acceptance of these terms and conditions.

   
15. To the fullest extent permitted by law, by participating in the 5X Rewards Points Feature, each and every Eligible Cardmember is agreeing that he/she will not hold Citibank and its officers, servants, employees, representatives and/or agents (including any third party service providers that Citibank may engage for purposes of the 5X Rewards Points Feature) liable for any losses or damages that he/she may incur, in connection with the 5X Rewards Points Feature.
   
16. These terms and conditions are governed by and construed under the laws of Malaysia.


Redeem Anything Anywhere Feature – Terms and Conditions
   
1. Citibank's "Redeem Anything Anywhere" service ("Service") is applicable only to the core principal Citibank Platinum Visa/MasterCard credit cardmembers described in Clause 2 below ("Eligible Cardmembers") on the Citibank Rewards Program for Citibank Platinum Visa/MasterCard.
   
2. Eligible Cardmembers are bound by these terms and conditions and will continue to be bound by the terms and conditions of the Citibank Credit Card Terms and Conditions and the terms and conditions of the Citibank Rewards Program.
 
Eligible Cardmembers" means all core principal Citibank Platinum Visa/MasterCard credit cardmembers who are residents of Malaysia EXCEPT for the following persons who are excluded:
 
(a) Holder(s) of Citibank Platinum credit card(s) not issued in Malaysia;
(b) Holder(s) of any co-branded Citibank Platinum credit cards;
(c) Holder(s) of Citibank Platinum credit card(s) who is (are) not in good standing, in default of or cancelled their card granted by Citibank, as Citibank deems fit; and
(d) any Citibank customer who has (have) committed or is (are) suspected of committing any fraudulent or wrongful acts and/or transactions in relation to use of his/their Citibank credit card(s) and/or any facilities or services with Citibank and/or its affiliate(s)4.
   
3. To make a Rewards Redemption under the Service:
 
(a) Eligible Cardmembers who make a retail or petrol purchase in Malaysia, abroad or via the internet ("Transaction") with a minimum transaction amount of RM200 (or equivalent to RM200 upon conversion into Ringgit Malaysia for purchases in foreign currency) using their Citibank Platinum Credit Card must call into the Citibank Platinum Hotline at 03 – 2383 1010 to request for such redemption;
(b) Partial redemptions are allowed subject to the partial transaction amount meeting the minimum transaction amount of RM200; and
(c) A Rewards Redemption under the Service is only applicable to those Transactions appearing in the Eligible Cardmember's credit card statements within the last twelve (12) months of the redemption request
   
4. For successful Rewards Redemptions the relevant Transaction amount redeemed(in Ringgit Malaysia and calculated at the conversion rate of 200 Rewards Points for every RM1.00 redeemed):
 
(a) will be reflected in either of the two (2) subsequent monthly credit card statements to the Eligible Cardmember after such redemption; and
(b) will be credited back into the Eligible Cardmember's credit card account within seven (7) business days, i.e. days where banks are open for normal business, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
   
5. (1) In determining the amount of a Transaction when calculating the Rewards Points required for redemption, any refunded, disputed, unauthorized or fraudulent retail purchases and goods and services taxes will not be taken into account.

(2) To avoid any doubt, Citibank EasyPay, Flexi Payment Plan, Autobilling,Cash Advance, Dial For Cash, Balance Transfer, Balance Transfer via Installment Plan, payment of annual card membership fees, interest, late payment fees, and any other form of service or miscellaneous fees are not considered Transactions for these purposes.

(3) Citibank may, as it deems fit, take into account any card transaction or charges or retail purchase in the calculation of Rewards Points or otherwise vary the basis of calculation of Rewards Points.

   
6. (1) Eligible Cardmembers may not state the amount of Rewards Points that they would like to use to make any redemption. Eligible Cardmembers can only state the Transaction amount that they wish to redeem using their Rewards Points.

(2) If the existing Rewards Points in the Eligible Cardmember's credit card account available for redemption exceeds the number of Rewards Points required to redeem a particular Transaction, only the requisite number of Rewards Points for such redemption, up to the nearest multiple of RM1.00 will be utilized for the redemption.

(3) If the available Rewards Points are less than the number of Rewards Points required to redeem the Transaction amount, the Eligible Cardmember will only be able to redeem up to the amount that the available Rewards Points are worth.

   
7. (1) Under the Service, only the Rewards Points accumulated on the Platinum Credit Card for the relevant retail or petrol purchases are allowed to be used for redemption.

(2) Rewards Points from different Citibank credit cards cannot be accumulated or used for redemption under the Service.

(3) Rewards Points accumulated on supplementary Platinum Credit Cards can only be redeemed by the principal Eligible Cardmember.

   
8. Cancellations are not allowed once an Eligible Cardmember makes a Rewards Redemption under the Service.
   
9. Only one (1) Rewards Redemption may be made in respect of each Transaction.
   
10. Citibank reserves the right, to reject a Rewards Redemption request as it deems fit and for reasons, including upon the occurrence of the following:
  (a) Eligible Cardmember terminates the relevant Credit Card account before the Reward Redemption is processed; or
  (b) Eligible Cardmember's Credit Card account(s) is (are) not in good standing. If the Eligible Cardmember's credit card account has been suspended due to late payment, this Service will be available after the Eligible Cardmember pays the minimum balance due on that account.
10. Citibank reserves the right, to reject a Rewards Redemption request as it deems fit and for reasons, including upon the occurrence of the following:
  (a) Eligible Cardmember terminates the relevant Credit Card account before the Reward Redemption is processed; or
  (b) Eligible Cardmember's Credit Card account(s) is (are) not in good standing. If the Eligible Cardmember's credit card account has been suspended due to late payment, this Service will be available after the Eligible Cardmember pays the minimum balance due on that account.
 
11. (1) Citibank reserves the right to terminate or suspend this Service by giving prior notice.

(2) Eligible Cardmembers agree that such termination or suspension by Citibank of the Service does not entitle the Eligible Cardmembers to any claim or compensation against Citibank for any losses or damages incurred by the Eligible Cardmembers as a result of the act of termination or suspension.

   
12. (1) Citibank has the right to vary, or change any of these terms and conditions with prior notice. These terms and conditions may be varied, or changed by Citibank by way of posting on its website at www.citibank.com.my ("Website"), or in any other manner deemed suitable by Citibank.

(2) The Eligible Cardmembers agree to access the Website at regular time intervals to view and understand these terms and conditions and to ensure that they are kept up-to-date with any changes or variations to these Terms and Conditions.

(3) The Eligible Cardmembers agree that their usage of the Service (whether successful or otherwise) constitutes their acceptance of these terms and conditions.

   
13. Citibank's decision and records on all matters relating to the Service is conclusive and binding on all Citibank customers.
   
14. Citibank may, by giving prior notice to Elegible Cardmembers, suspend the calculation or accrual of Rewards Points, rectify any errors in the calculation and otherwise adjust such calculation as it deems fit.
   
15.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, by enrolling for the Service or making any redemption, each and every Eligible Cardmember is agreeing that he/she will not hold Citibank and its officers, servants, employees, representatives and/or agents (including any third party service providers that Citibank may engage for purposes of the Service) liable for any losses or damages that he/she may incur, in connection with the Service.
   
16.
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed under the laws of Malaysia.

1 The term “affiliate” means Citigroup Inc. and each legal entity that is controlled by Citigroup Inc., whether directly or indirectly.
   
2 The selected department stores are listed in Table 1 in Clause 4 above. .
   
3 The selected supermarkets and hypermarkets are listed in Table 2 in Clause 4 above.
   
4 The term “affiliate” means Citigroup Inc. and each legal entity that is controlled by Citigroup Inc., whether directly or indirectly.
