| Citibank Gold 3 Times Rewards ("Citibank Gold 3X Rewards") – Terms and Conditions |

|
| 1. |
This Citibank Berhad (“Citibank”) Gold 3X Rewards Points feature (“3X Rewards Points Feature”) is valid from 1st November 2010 onwards. |
| |
|
| Eligibility |
| 2. |
Subject to Clause 3 below, all core Citibank Gold Visa/Mastercard credit cardholders who are residents of Malaysia, are eligible to enjoy this 3X Rewards Points Feature (“Eligible Cardholders”). |
| |
|
| |
The following persons are NOT eligible for this 3X Rewards Points Feature: |
| |
a) |
Holder(s) of Citibank Gold credit card(s) not issued in Malaysia; |
| |
b) |
Holder(s) of any co-branded Citibank Gold credit cards; |
| |
c) |
Holder(s) of Citibank Gold credit card(s) who is (are) in default of or cancelled facilities granted by Citibank, subject to Citibank’s discretion; and |
| |
d) |
Holder(s) who has (have) committed or is (are) suspected of committing any fraudulent or wrongful acts and/or transactions in relation to use of his/their Citibank credit card(s). |

| The 3X Rewards Points Feature |
| 3. |
Eligible Cardholders who use their Citibank Gold credit card for retail transactions at the following departmental stores, supermarkets and hyper markets in Malaysia are entitled to receive 3X Rewards Points in the manner as set out in Clause 4 below: |

| 4. |
Subject to these Terms and Conditions, Eligible Cardholders may receive the 3X Reward Points Feature in the following manner: |

Three (3) times Rewards Points on the amount spent on retail transactions at selected supermarkets and hypermarkets (as listed in Clause 4 above). So, every RM1.00 of retail transaction posted to the Eligible Cardholder’s credit card account will generate three (3) Rewards Points. However, the 3X Reward Points Feature for this category of retail transactions will only be rewarded to a maximum of RM3,000 amount spent on such retail transactions in each billing cycle month. Accordingly, for any amounts above such maximum spent of RM3000 in a particular billing cycle month, the usual reward points system will be applicable, that is, every RM1.00 of retail transaction posted to the Eligible Cardholder’s credit card account will generate one (1) Rewards Point. |

| |
Citibank is not liable for any delay in the actual posting of the transactions and /or Rewards Points earned during the 3X Rewards Points Feature. |
| |
|
| 5. |
Citibank is not responsible for the quality, merchantability or the fitness for any purpose or any other aspect of the products and/or services provided by third parties. |
| |
|
6. |
The following transactions are not taken into account in the accumulation of additional Rewards Points via this 3X Rewards Points Feature: |
| |
a) |
Citibank EasyPay, Flexi Payment Plan, Autobilling, Cash Advance, Dial For Cash, Balance Transfer and Balance Transfer via Installment Plan; |
| |
b) |
refunded, international, disputed, unauthorized or fraudulent retail transactions; |
| |
c) |
retail transactions at stores not listed in Clause 4 (as amended); |
| |
d) |
payment of annual card membership fees, interest payments, late payment fees, charges for cash withdrawals; and |
| |
e) |
any other form of service or miscellaneous fees. |
| |
|
| 7. |
Subject to the Eligibility Criteria specified above, transactions made by a supplementary Citibank Gold Cardholder will also be entitled to the 3X Rewards Points Feature. However, only the principal Eligible Cardholder will be able to make a redemption. |
| |
|
| 8. |
Rewards Points must be redeemed and used only by the principal Eligible Cardholders. Redemption of Rewards Points is subject to Citibank’s sole discretion.
|
| |
Further, Citibank has the right to cancel Rewards Points earned on credit card accounts where: |
| |
a) |
the minimum payment has been due for thirty (30) days or more; |
| |
b) |
the credit limit has been exceeded; |
| |
c) |
the account is believed by Citibank to be operated fraudulently; or |
| |
d) |
any accounts otherwise closed by Citibank. |
| |
|
| 9. |
Rewards Points earned are not transferable. Cardholders are not allowed to sell their Rewards Points to any other person.
If the 3X Rewards Points are awarded to and received by persons who are not Eligible Cardholders, Citibank has the right to disqualify such persons from enjoying the additional Rewards Points and/or from redeeming or using the additional Rewards Points. |

| Miscellaneous |
| 10. |
Citibank is not liable for any default in respect of the 3X Rewards Points Feature due to any act of God, war, riot, strike, lockout, industrial action, epidemic, pandemic, fire, flood, drought, storm, technical or systems failure or any event beyond the reasonable control of Citibank. |
| |
|
| 11. |
(1) |
Citibank’s decisions on all matters relating to the 3X Rewards Points Feature, including the determination of Eligible Cardholders is conclusive and binding. |
| |
(2) |
Citibank is entitled, in its absolute discretion, and without giving any reasons, to take into account any card transaction or charges or retail purchase in the calculation of Rewards Points or to otherwise vary the basis of calculation of Rewards Points. |
| |
|
| 12. |
(1) |
Citibank has the right to terminate or suspend the 3X Rewards Points Feature with prior notice. |
| |
(2) |
Such termination or suspension by Citibank of the 3X Rewards Points Feature does not entitle the Cardholders to any claim or compensation against Citibank for any losses or damages incurred by the Cardholders as a result of the act of termination or suspension. |

|
| 13. |
(1) |
Participation in the 3X Rewards Points Feature is subject to these Terms and Conditions and the terms and conditions in the Citibank Credit Card Agreement and the Citibank Rewards Program. If there is any inconsistency between these terms & conditions and the Citibank Rewards Program Terms & Conditions only for in relation to the 3X Rewards Points Feature, these terms & conditions will prevail. |

(2) |
Citibank has the right to modify, vary, delete or add to any of these Terms and Conditions with prior notice. These Terms and Conditions may be modified, varied, amended, deleted or added to by Citibank by way of posting on its www.citibank.com.my website ("Website") or in any other manner deemed suitable by Citibank. |

(3) |
The Eligible Cardholders agree to access the Website regularly to view and understand these Terms and Conditions and to ensure that they are kept up-to-date with any changes to these Terms and Conditions. |

(4) |
The Eligible Cardholders agree that their participation in the 3X Rewards Points Feature constitutes their acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. |

| 14. |
These Terms and Conditions prevail over any provisions or representations contained in any other promotional materials advertising the 3X Rewards Points Feature. |
| |
|
| 15. |
To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event will Citibank or any of its officers, servants, employees, representatives and/or agents (including any third party service providers that Citibank may engage for purposes of the 3X Rewards Points Feature) be liable for any losses or damages (including loss of income, profits or goodwill or indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary, punitive or special damages of any party including third parties) which arise in connection with the 3X Rewards Points Feature, even if Citibank has been advised of the possibility of such damages in advance. All such damages are expressly excluded. |

| 16. |
These terms and conditions will be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. |
TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR GOLD-ON-CALL ASSISTANCE
All references here to “Gold Card” means all Citibank Gold credit cards issued by Citibank Berhad (297089-M) (“Citibank”) and “Gold Cardholder” means the holder of a Gold Card.
Citibank is making available to the Gold Cardholders, through CitiPhone (“Services”), access to the following merchants (“Merchants” or “Merchant” depending on context):
- Asia Assistance Network Sdn Bhd (470560-A);
- Holiday Tours & Travel Sdn Bhd (23070-H); and
- any other Merchant of products and/or services as Citibank may add or remove.
With specific reference to Holiday Tours Sdn Bhd, you will be entitled to receive Gold Travel Vouchers from Holiday Tours Sdn Bhd worth RM80 when you make a minimum ground purchase (on selected Holiday Tours housebrand, General Sales Agent (GSA) and Preferred Sales Agent (PSA) products) of at least RM3,500 per booking. For the avoidance of doubt, the redemption of the Gold Travel Vouchers, tours, travel and airline packages are governed by the applicable terms and conditions stipulated by Holiday Tours Sdn Bhd.
When a Gold Cardholder wishes to purchase or utilize any of the products and services offered or supplied by any of the Merchants, he/she may call CitiPhone and CitiPhone will re-direct the call to the relevant Merchants.
Payment for all products and services which requires payment from the Gold Cardholder must be charged to the Gold Card.

By providing the Services:

Citibank will not be liable to the Gold Cardholder or any person(s) whom the Gold Cardholder nominates to receive on behalf of or use any products and services offered or supplied by any of the Merchants. The rights, if any, which the Gold Cardholder may have in connection with the products and services are solely against the relevant Merchant of the products and services;

Citibank will not be liable to the Gold Cardholder or any other person(s) whom the Gold Cardholder nominates to receive on behalf of use any products and services offered or supplied by any of the Merchants for any death, injury or consequential loss or damage of any nature which may arisen from the supply of the products and/or the performance of the services by the relevant Merchant;

Citibank gives no representation or warranty with respect to any products supplied or services performed by the Merchant(s). In particular, with respect to the quality of the products and services or their suitability for any purpose. Notwithstanding any provisions to the contrary, any dispute or complaint concerning products or services received through the use of the Services must be settled directly between the Gold Cardholder and the relevant Merchant or Merchants. Citibank is not responsible for resolving such disputes or for the dispute itself; and

Citibank is not responsible for any acts or omissions on the part of any of Merchants or for any defect or deficiency in the services and products provided by any of the Merchants.

Citibank reserves the right to change or vary any of these terms and conditions with prior notice. These Terms and Conditions may be changed or varied by Citibank by way of posting on its website at www.citibank.com.my (“Website”) or in any other manner deemed suitable by Citibank. The Gold Cardholder agrees to access the Website at regular time intervals to view and understand these Terms and Conditions and to ensure that they are kept up-to-date with any changes or variations to these Terms and Conditions. |

| 3. |
Citibank has the right to terminate the Services or vary the participating Merchant or Merchants at any time, with prior notice. |

| |
| SIGN & FLY COVERAGE FOR PREFERRED VISA / MASTERCARD CARDMEMBERS
POLICY NO :
Citibank having applied to Chartis Malaysia Insurance Berhad (795492-W) (hereafter referred to as CMI ) and having paid or agreed to pay premium in consideration for the insurance herein, agree with CMI that any information supplied, be it by an application or proposal form or by any other method shall form the basis of this Policy.
CMI agree that if during the period of insurance stated in the schedule and any subsequent period in respect of which CMI agrees to accept the premium required for the renewal of this Policy, CMI shall provide the cover as described in this Policy.
The Policy and the schedule shall be read together as one document and any word or expression to which a specific meaning has been attached shall bear the same meaning wherever it may appear. |
SIGN & FLY COVERAGE
SECTION 1 – COMMON CARRIER TRAVEL ACCIDENT
1.0 Preamble
CMI will pay to the Insured Person the Benefit if any Insured Event shall happen to the Insured Person whilst riding as a passenger in or on boarding or alighting from any Public Conveyance then being operated by a Common Carrier for which the Full Fare of the Insured Person has been charged by the Cardholder to their Citibank Card account, unless otherwise provided in the Preamble.
This insurance is extended to cover the Insured Person
-
while within any Common Carrier terminal building for the express purpose of engaging in passenger travel
-
while riding as a passenger in a registered four-wheel motorized vehicle or Public Conveyance, but only
-
when going directly to an airport for the purpose of boarding an aircraft
-
when leaving from an airport after alighting from an aircraft/ship until they reach their next destination
provided that in respect of 1.0 (b) (i) and (ii), the Insured Person’s Full Fare for such travel by air has been charged by the Cardholder to their Citibank Card account.
Should such travel be part of a packaged tour, cover shall apply only if a minimum of 80% of the total cost of the package tour has been charged to the Cardholder’s Citibank Card account.
1.1 Schedule of Benefits
Subject always to Item 1.3 Limit of Liability and 1.4 Multiple Cover Limit, the Benefit payable by CMI shall be in accordance with the percentage prescribed in the table below :-

"Loss of Hearing" means Permanent irrecoverable and complete
loss of hearing.
“Loss” as use above with reference to hand or leg means Permanent total loss of use or complete and permanent severance through or above the wrist or ankle joint, and as used with reference to eye means the total and irrecoverable loss of the entire sight of such eye.
If within one year from the Date of the Accident such injuries sustained by the Insured Person under Section 1 shall result in any Insured Event as specified in the above, CMI will pay the Percentage of Capital Sum as set opposite, provided, that not more than one of these sums (the greater) shall be payable for such Bodily Injuries resulting from any one Accident.
1.2 Capital Sum Insured
Preferred Visa / Mastercard Cardholder
Limit of Liability per Insured : RM 500,000.00
The sum payable to the Cardholder’s legally dependent Child shall be limited to a maximum of 25% of the Capital Sum Insured of the Cardholder.
1.3 Limit of Liability
The maximum combined liability of CMI under the Sign & Fly Coverage and the Overseas 24-Hours Personal Accident & Overseas Medical Expenses Coverage in respect of any one Loss Occurrence shall be RM45,000,000.00.
Should the aggregate amount of all claims payable from any one Loss Occurrence exceed RM45,000,000.00 then the amount payable in respect of each Insured Person shall be proportionally reduced.
1.4 Multiple Cover Limit
It is expressly agreed that in the event that the Insured Person is also covered under the Overseas 24-Hours Personal Accident & Overseas Medical Expenses Coverage, CMI’s maximum limit of liability shall be the Capital Sum Insured under only one of the policies, whichever is the higher.
1.5 Benefit Extensions
This Policy is extended to cover :-
| 1.5.1 |
Major Burns sustained during Public Conveyance Travel |
| |
Major Burns mean third degree burns covering at least 25% of the surface area of the Insured Person’s body, provided such Major Burns was sustained by the Insured Person during Public Conveyance travel. |
| |
Benefit Limit : 10% of the Capital Sum Insured as stated in item 1.2, subject to a maximum of RM80,000.00. |
| 1.5.2 |
Corrective Plastic Surgery necessitated by injuries sustained by the Insured Person during Public Conveyance travel |
| |
Corrective Plastic Surgery Benefit reimburses the Medical Expenses incurred for corrective plastic surgery arising from injuries sustained by the Insured Person during Public Conveyance travel. |
| |
Benefit Limit : 10% of the Capital Sum Insured as stated in item 1.2, subject to a maximum of RM80,000.00. |
1.6 Automatic Extension
| 1.6.1 |
Exposure and Disappearance |
| |
Notwithstanding anything contained herein to the contrary, it is hereby understood and agreed that if as a result of an Accident covered by this Policy the Insured Person is unavoidably exposed to the natural elements and as a result of such exposure suffers any loss as specified in this Policy, such specific loss will be covered under this Policy. |

It is also understood and agreed that if the body of the Insured Person has not been found within 12 months after the date of disappearance, crashing, sinking or wrecking of the vehicle in which the Insured Person was travelling or riding at the time of such Accident covered by this Policy. It will presumed that the Insured Person sustained injury which resulted in his death at the time of such Accident. If at any time after payment has been made by CMI for such claim, the Insured person is found to be alive, full refund shall be made to CMI. |
1.7 Exclusions
This Section does not cover any claim directly or indirectly caused by, resulting from or in connection with :
-
war, invasion, acts of foreign enemies, hostilities or warlike operations (whether war be declared or not), civil war, mutiny, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, military or usurped power,
-
nuclear reaction, nuclear radiation or radioactive contamination,
-
riot,
-
any act of terrorism,
For this purpose, an act of terrorism means an act, including but not limited to the use of force or violence and/or the threat thereof, of any person or group(s) of persons, whether acting alone or on behalf of or in connection with any organization(s) or government(s), committed for political, religious, ideological or similar purposes including the intention to influence any government and/or to put the public, or any section of the public, in fear.
This exclusion also excludes loss, damage, death, injury, illness, cost or expense of whatsoever nature directly or indirectly caused by, resulting from or in connection with any action taken in controlling, preventing, suppressing or in any way relating to any act of terrorism.

the Insured Person :
- engaging in air / water / land / travel except as a passenger
- engaging in a criminal act,
- committing suicide or intentional self-injury (whether felonious or not) or any attempt thereat while sane or insane.
1.8 Claim Conditions
| 1.8.1 |
On the happening of any event likely to give rise a claim under this Policy, the Insured Person shall as soon as is reasonably practicable, but not later than 30 days after such event (unless there are extenuating circumstances), give written notice thereof to CMI through the designated representative as shown below and shall furnish all such particulars and evidence as the designated representative may reasonable require and shall take all practicable steps towards minimizing the loss or damage :

| 1.8.2 |
All information, evidence and proof required by CMI or the designated representative shall be furnished at the expense of the Insured Person and shall be in such form and manner prescribed by CMI or the designated representative. The Insured Person shall od all such acts and things as CMI or the designated representative shall reasonably require.

| 1.8.3 |
The Insured Person shall complete a claim form and submit it to the designated representative as soon as practicable together with the following :
-
Photocopy of charge form verifying that relevant air ticket was charged to a Citibank Card account
-
Photocopy of Airline or travel agent’s receipt for air ticket
-
Photocopy of air ticket
-
Photocopy of Airline boarding pass (where applicable)
-
Postmortem report / medical report(s) as may be required by CMI

| 1.8.4 |
Indemnity for loss of life will be payable to the estate of the Insured Person. All other indemnities for any other class of injury will be payable to the Insured Person.
If any indemnity of this policy shall be payable to the estate of the Insured person or to an Insured Person who is a minor otherwise not competent to give a valid release, CMI may pay such indemnity to his trustee. Any payment made by CMI in good faith pursuant to this provision shall fully discharge CMI to the extent of such payment. Benefit shall only be payable under one of the Benefits shown in Item 1.1 Schedule of Benefit.

| 1.8.5 |
The Insured Person shall as soon as possible after the occurrence of a loss likely to give rise to a claim under this Policy obtain and follow the advice of a duly qualified registered Medical Practitioner and CMI shall not be liable for any consequences arising by reason of the Insured Person’s failure to obtain or follow such advice and use such appliances or remedies as may be prescribed. |
| 1.8.6 |
If any claim under this Policy shall be in any respect fraudulent or if any fraudulent means or devices shall be used by the Insured or the Insured Person or anyone acting on behalf of the Insured or the Insured Person to obtain any Benefit under this Policy, CMI shall be under no liability in respect of such claim. |

| SECTION 2 - TRAVEL INCONVENIENCE INSURANCE
2.0 Preamble
CMI shall indemnify the Insured Person up to the amount stated in the Schedule of Benefit in Section 2.1 below if any Insured Event under Section 2.2 shall happen whilst the Insured Person is travelling as a fare-paying passenger in a Scheduled Flight for which the Full Fare of the Insured Person has been charged by the Cardholder to their Citibank Card account, unless otherwise provided in the preamble.
Should such travel be part of a package tour, cover shall apply only if a minimum of 80% of the total cost of the package tour has been changes to the Cardholder’s Citibank Card account.

2.2 Insured Events
| 2.2.1 |
Flight Delay |

CMI shall pay the reasonable costs incurred for :
-
meals, refreshments, hotel accommodation, telephone charges and travel expenses incurred to and fro between the airport and the hotel
-
essential clothing and requisites if the Insured Person’s baggage has been checked-in
if the confirmed departure of the Insured Person’s Scheduled Flight is delayed in excess of 4 hours or is cancelled by the Airlines or the Insured Person is denied boarding due to overbooking, provided that no alternative transportation is made available within 4 hours of the scheduled departure of such flight.

| 2.2.2 |
Missed Flight Connection |
| |
CMI shall pay the reasonable costs incurred for :
-
meals, refreshments, hotel accommodation, telephone charges and travel expenses incurred to and fro between the airport and the hotel
- essential clothing and requisites if the Insured Person’s baggage has been checked-in
if the late arrival of the Insured Person’s in-coming Scheduled Flight on which they are travelling results in them missing a confirmed outward scheduled connecting flight and no alternative Scheduled Flight is made available to the Insured Person within 4 hours of the actual arrival time of their incoming flight.

| 2.2.3 |
Baggage Delay |
| |
CMI shall pay the reasonable costs incurred for the purchase of essential clothing and requisites if the Insured Person’s accompanied checked-in baggage is delayed in excess of 6 hours following the scheduled arrival at the airport of destination. |
| 2.2.4 |
Baggage Loss |
| |
CMI shall pay the reasonable costs incurred for emergency purchases of essential clothing and requisites in addition to those payable under item 2.2.3 if :
the Insured Person’s accompanied baggage is lost
- the Insured Person’s accompanied checked-in baggage is not delivered to him within 24 hours of his arrival at the scheduled destination point of his flight
provided always that such checked-in baggage was checked-in by an authorised official of the transport operator with whom the Insured Person was travelling.

Baggage Damange |

CMI shall pay the amount state in item 2.1 Schedule of Benefit for Baggage Damage in event that the Insured Person’s checked in baggage is damaged or lost during a Scheduled Flight save and except for claims not declared to a personal of the Common Carrier authorised to receive such a claim, as soon as the Insured Person is aware that the baggage is damaged. |
2.3 Exclusions
This Section does not cover any claim directly or indirectly caused by, resulting from or in connection with :
-
war, invasion, acts of foreign enemies,
hostilities or warlike operations (whether war be declared or not),
civil war, mutiny, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, military or
usurped power,
-
nuclear reaction, nuclear radiation or radioactive contamination,
-
riot,
-
any act of terrorism,
For this purpose, an act of terrorism means an act,
including but not limited to the use of force or violence
and/or the threat thereof, of any person or group(s) of
persons, whether acting alone or on behalf of or in
connection with any organization(s) or government(s), committed for political, religious, ideological or similar
purposes including the intention to influence any
government and/or to put the public, or any section of
the public, in fear.
This exclusion also excludes loss, damage, death,
injury, illness, cost or expense of whatsoever nature directly or
indirectly caused by, resulting from or in connection with any action
taken in controlling, preventing, suppressing or in any way relating to
any act of terrorism.

the Insured Person :
-
engaging in air / water / land / travel except as a passenger
-
engaging in a criminal act,
-
failure of the Insured Person to take reasonable and necessary measures to save or recover lost baggage,
-
failure of the Insured Person to notify airport / Airline authorities of missing baggage at the destination point and obtain a property irregularity report,
-
abandonment of baggage to the airline or any other party
-
any motorised conveyances;
-
sports equipments;
-
perishable and consumable items;
-
antiques, artifacts, paintings, objects of art or any object with intrinsic value;
-
manuscripts, financial securities or instruments of any kind, currency notes or travellers cheques;
-
stamps, travel documents, credit cards, title deeds, driving licence and identity cards;
-
external prosthetic appliances or devices which includes but is not limited to artificial limbs, hearing aids, implanted pacemakers, contact lenses, glasses, artificial teeth and dental bridges;
-
musical instruments;
-
fragile items unless to an accident involving the conveyance in which they were being transported, theft or fire;
-
wear and tear or damage due to any process of repair, gradual deterioration, moths, vermin, atmospheric or weather mechanical or electrical failure or breakdown;
-
hired or leased equipment;
-
loss to baggage sent in advance, mailed or shipped separately;
-
loss to baggage left unattended in any place of which the general public have free access to;
-
loss of business goods or samples or equipment of any kind;
-
loss of data recorded on tapes, cards, discs or otherwise;
-
loss is respect of shortage due to error, omission, exchange transactions or depreciation in value;
-
mysterious disappearance;
-
confiscation, detention, destruction by customs or public authorities, objects that are worn on the body which have inclusions of precious metals, precious stones or semi precious-stones.
2.4 Claim Conditions
| 2.4.1 |
On the happening of any event likely to give rise a claim under this Policy, the Insured Person shall as soon as is reasonably practicable, but not later than 30 days after such event (unless there are extenuating circumstances), give written notice thereof to CMI through the designated representative as shown below and shall furnish all such particulars and evidence as the designated representative may reasonable require and shall take all practicable steps towards minimizing the loss or damage :

| 2.4.2 |
All information, evidence and proof required by CMI or the designated representative shall be furnished at the expense of the Insured Person and shall be in such form and manner prescribed by CMI or the designated representative. The Insured Person shall od all such acts and things as CMI or the designated representative shall reasonably require. |
| 2.4.3 |
The Insured Person shall complete a claim form and submit it to the designated representative as soon as practicable together with the following :
-
Photocopy of charge form verifying that relevant air ticket was charged to a Citibank Card account.
-
Photocopy of Airline or travel agent’s receipt for air ticket.
-
Photocopy of air ticket.
-
Photocopy of Airline boarding pass (where applicable).
-
In respect of missed flight connection, flight delay or denied boarding, a written confirmation from the Airline indicating the duration of delay and the reason(s) for it.
-
In respect of delayed or lost or damaged luggage, photocopy of boarding pass with a checked-in baggage tag, a signed and dated copy of the Property Irregularity Report obtained from the Airline.
-
Original receipts relating to the expenses incurred and details on quantities and description of items purchased.
-
Letter from the Airline indicating amount of compensation paid, if any.

| 2.4.4 |
If any claim under this Policy shall be in any respect fraudulent or if any fraudulent means or devices shall be used by the Insured or the Insured Person or anyone acting on behalf of the Insured or the Insured Person to obtain any Benefit under this Policy, CMI shall be under no liability in respect of such claim. |
| 2.4.5 |
Benefits payable under the Policy for valid claims will be credited to the Insured Person’s Citibank Card account. |

| SPECIAL CONDITIONS |
| |
| 1.0 |
Geographical Limits
The insurance afforded under the Sign & Fly and Wallet Guard coverage shall apply anywhere in the world unless otherwise amended or endorsed. |

| 2.0 |
Automatic Termination
The insurance cover provided for any individual Citibank Cardholder will terminate as of the date he ceases to be a Cardholder or the date of termination of this Policy whichever is earlier. |

|
| 3.0 |
Benefit
The benefit payable shall be that benefit applicable to the
Citibank Card that the Insured Person used to pay for the
Full Fare. |

|
| 4.0 |
Duty of Care
The Insured Person shall take all reasonable precaution for the safety of personal properties or baggage and shall exercise care and diligence to prevent any Bodily Injury or unnecessary risks to any contagious diseases. |
GENERAL CONDITIONS
| 1.0 |
All words that appear in the masculine gender shall include the feminine. |

| 2.0 |
All literatures issued or intending to be issued by the insured that applies either wholly or in part of this agreement must have the approval of CMI prior to release to cardholders, the terms and conditions of this policy shall override and be paramount over any other agreement made between the insured and the cardholder. |

|
| 3.0 |
All amounts herein are expressed in Malaysian Ringgit. |
| |
|
| 4.0 |
This policy may be cancelled at any time at the request of the Insured by giving CMI 30 days written notice, in which case CMI will retain the customary short period premium for the time the policy has been in force. This policy may also be cancelled at the option of CMI by giving 120 days notice to that effect to the Insured, in which case CMI shall repay on demand a rateable proportion of the premium for the unexpired term from the date of cancellation. |

| 5.0 |
The due observance and fulfilment of the terms of this Policy in so far as they relate to anything to be done or complied with by the Insured, the Cardholder, the Insured Person or the claimant shall be conditions precedent to any liability of CMI to make any payment under this Policy. |
| |
|
| 6.0 |
CMI shall not be bound to accept or be affected by any notice of any trust, charge, lien, assignment or other dealing with or relating to this Policy. |
| |
|
| 7.0 |
No sum payable under this Policy shall carry interest under any circumstances. |
| |
|
| 8.0 |
All the difference arising out of this Policy shall be referred to the decision of an Arbitrator to be appointed in writing by the parties in difference or if they cannot agree upon a single Arbitrator to the decision of two Arbitrators one to be appointed in writing by each of the parties within one (1) calendar month having required in writing to do so by either of the parties and the two Arbitrators shall by instrument in writing appoint an Umpire immediately after they themselves are appointed. The Umpire shall sit with the Arbitrators and preside at their meeting and the making of an Award shall be a condition precedent to any right of action against CMI.
If CMI shall disclaim liability to the claimant for any claim hereunder and such claim shall not within twelve (12) calendar months from the date of such disclaimer have been referred to arbitration under the provisions herein contained, then the claim shall for all purposes be deemed to have been abandoned and shall not thereafter be recovered hereunder. |

This Policy shall be construed according to and governed by the laws of Malaysia. |
| |
|
| 10.0 |
Words importing singular meaning, where the context so admits, include the plural meaning and vice versa. |
|
| |
DEFINITIONS
-
"Accident" means a sudden, unforeseen and unexpected event.
-
"Airline(s)" means an Airline listed in the most current Official Airline Guide issued by and updated from time to time and the Airline holds a valid certificate, licence or similar authorization for scheduled air transportation issued by the relevant authorities in the country in which its aircraft is operating.
-
"Benefit" means the sum set out against the relevant Insured Event .
"Bodily Injury" means bodily injury which is caused solely
and directly by an Accident and shall exclude bodily injury
caused by sickness or disease, bacterial or viral infection not
occurring through an accidental cut or wound.
-
"Cardholder" in respect of the Sign & Fly Coverage means
the holder of a valid Citibank Preferred Visa / MasterCard
(Basic Only) issued by the Insured and billed in Malaysia.
-
"Citibank Card" means Citibank Preferred Visa / MasterCard.
-
"Common Carrier" means a
conveyance that is licensed for the carriage of passengers in accordance
with the conditions and statutes laid down by the appropriate
regulatory authorities and that is available for use by fare paying
passengers.
-
"Child" shall mean any child of
the Insured Person who is an unmarried person, is financially dependent
upon the Insured Person and is under the age of 18, or up to the age of
23 for those registered as full time students at a recognised
educational institution.
-
"Concessionary Fare" includes :
-
Discounted tickets offered by a Public Conveyance operator,
Tickets offered on special promotions, including ‘free
tickets’ given together with purchased tickets, the cost
of which have been charged by the Cardholders to
their Citibank Card account, provided both purchased
tickets and ‘free tickets" were issued in the names of
Insured Persons,
-
Tickets offered as part of Citibank Rewards Programs
or similar programs offered by Citibank with or without
additional cost chargeable. In the event that cost is
chargeable, 100% of such cost must be charged by the
Citibank Cardholders to their Citibank Card account.
- "Date Of Accident" is the date when the accident occurs.
- "Family Members" means the following :
- the Cardholder's legally married spouse, and
- all the Cardholder's legally dependent Child
- "Full Fare" means the 100% fare payable by the Cardholder on standard fare or Concessionary Fare.
- "Insured" means Citibank Berhad, Malaysia.
- "Insured Person" in respect of the Sign & Fly Coverage means the Citibank Cardholder or any one of his Family Members as defined herein.
- "Journey" means any trip not
exceeding 30 days involving travel to any point outside of the
territorial boundary of Malaysia, including its offshore islands.
- "Loss Occurrence" means each and every claim and or series of claims arising out of any one Accident or event.
The duration and extent of any one Loss Occurrence
so defined shall be limited to 72 consecutive hours and a radius of one
hundred (100) miles (one hundred and sixty (160) kilometers) radius,
and no individual loss which occurs
outside this period or area shall be included in that Loss
Occurrence.

"Permanent" shall mean lasting
twelve (12) calendar months from the date of accident and at the expiry
of the twelve (12) calendar month period being beyond hope of
improvement.
-
"Policy Period"shall mean the period for where insurance cover is effective. It is the period between the policy inception date (or date of its last reinstatement pursuant to the provisions of this policy, whichever is later) and the expiry date as stated in the Policy Schedule.
-
"Policy Schedule"shall mean the policy schedule attached to and forms part of this policy.
-
"Public Conveyance"means any Scheduled Flight, or any land or water conveyance which is duly licensed for the transportation of fare-paying passengers and shall exclude any private hire or rental vehicle or any conveyance operated for the purpose of sightseeing or tour.

"Scheduled Flight" means any one of the following :
-
A flight on an Airline over a scheduled route,
-
An additional flight operated by an Airline to meet demands over a scheduled route,
-
A chartered flight on an Airline for which tickets are issued through appointed agents and available to the public at large.
Departure times, transfers and destination points
shall be established by reference to the Insured Person's Scheduled
Flight ticket.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the CHARTIS MALAYSIA INSURANCE BERHAD, has caused this policy to be signed but it shall not be binding upon
the Company unless countersigned by an Authorized Representative of the
Company.
